The second article dedicated to Italian luxury hotels where guests can take advantage charging for electric cars inside the property, focuses on Italy’s central regions that boast high numbers of touristic presence such as Lazio, Umbria and of course, Tuscany.

In the land of the “Medici” solutions to restore the Ev directly in the parking lot of the 5*L hotel are numerous. The most comprehensive offering of all, comes from the 25hours Hotel Piazza San Paolino in the heart of Florence as the property garages, has 12 chargers with 22kW on complimentary basis. Amidst Fiesole’s hills, Villa San Michele - a Belmond Hotel - provides guests with 2 sockets of 3kW each power and recharging takes place right beneath the extraordinary Michelangelo façade. Also nestled by lush gardens but on the opposite bank of the river Arno, sumptuous Villa Cora has a complimentary double socket 15kW charger.

In the countryside surrounding the city of Renaissance arts and driving towards Siena province, the gorgeous Dimora Ghirlandaio in Colleramola has 2 chargers with 22kW and Castello di Casole (Belmond Group) offers 2 free of charge 22kW connections for its guests. In San Quirico d'Orcia Adler Spa Resort Thermae provides guests with free electricity via 2 Tesla (7.5 kW) and 3 universal chargers with 2 sockets each and a power of 6.5kW. In both the Tuscan Relais & Chateaux Castello Banfi di Montalcino and Il Falconiere near Cortona, there are 2 Porsche chargers with 11kW. For those exploring Maremma and Monte Argentario coastline, legendary Hotel Il Pellicano in Porto Ercole offers guests 1 complimentary charger with a potency of 22kW.

Umbria and Lazio

In the green heart of Italy charming retreats with Ev charging services find near perfect support at il Borgo della Marmotta (near Spoleto) via 4 chargers with 40kW of power. Electric vehicle charging is also available at the R&C Borgo dei Conti and in the garage and restaurant parking of Castello di Reschio. Whatever the choice for the overnight stay in Umbria, the distance below two hundred kilometers from Rome, will allow most full electric cars to reach the Italian capital without additional refueling stops.

The luxury hotel and Welness Medical Retreat with gourmet menus especially designed by 3 Michelin star chef Heinz Beck, is located about an hour's drive from the eternal’s city center and customers arriving by Ev, can use the 11kW chargers located in the hotel parking at a cost of 40 euros.
